Last saturday, my husband with me took a free trip to zhouzhuang due to friend’s help. Located in kunshan county in jiangsu province, zhouzhuang is famous for water town .Tradional houses, old brigers and narrow river which is able to maintain its culture and historial site has became the best characters in zhouzhuang ,especially worldwide two birdges .
Despite the fact that the weather is sunny,we got there with full joy before 9 o’clock in order to have much time to visit.On entering the gate ,what surpise me most is not beautiful scenery but crowded people ,even some foreign friend.It seems that i must be ready for struggle.
First we walk along the road alowly.On one side of the stone road is standing traditional houses ,in which varies of good were sold ,such as pearl,comb made of ivory and clothes,on the opposite there is the long and narrow river.At afternoon, we paid a visit to worldwide two bridges.On arrivin that ,tours were telling theliterary quotation while travellers were surrounding and watching it.The appearance of one briger is arch, at right angle linking another square brider.Then we visited the zhang hall and Shen hall famou for rich and powerful people called Shen Wanshan
There is a proverb saying : up above there is heaven ,down below there are suzhou and hangzhou.Maybe the lack of the historial knoeledge, I hardly understand the true soul of zhouzhuang ,although it is well-known.What impress me most is crowded people and old bridges bulit 200 years ago.Perhaps compared to modern society,ancient bulidings show their great value because of its rare and historic.
But to tell the truth,living in that quiet environment such as in zhouzhuang , no TV, no computer and washing clothes in the river , sitting under the tree and chatting with others , people prevent from competetion and radiation and have a simple and quiet life.
